Note for scope caps below, where measurements are shown...

    - Scope designated sizes (1-1/2", 1", etc.) are NOT the outside diameter of the objective.

    - Scope sizes are usually the clear thru-the-lens diameter. So a 1-1/4" scope may measure 1-1/2" outside diameter, which causes understandable confusion.

    - Measurements shown are the outside diameter of the cap threads.

    - The inside (female) thread of the scope will measure about .020" smaller.

    - Objective caps themselves may be 1/8" to 1/4" larger overall than the designated scope size.
